Poly Life

Next week, is the conclusion of my first semester in TP. Times in poly and and secondary school differs greatly. If days fly in secondary school, days 'teleport' in poly. Time seems to pass unknowingly while having lectures, tutorials and labs.

I've 3 CCAs altogether. PACEsetters, Toastmasters, and Red Cross.

No, there's no Red Cross in TP. I attending a Volunteer Instructor course, VIP 8 months ago. Those days were great. Well the best was in a camp known as Linkamania. Whereby i'm staying with pleasant people and energetic primary school kids! And my role in the camp was a mentor for one of the groups.

I'm deployed back to Broadrick Sec, where i started my Red Cross path. Skipped some lectures, particularly OC, and even some tutorials and went down for rehearsals and trainings. Speech Day, School Official Opening, and usual trainings. For that, i wasn't tt bonded with my class. Kinda neglected them. Glad i'm more inclined to my class now.

Toastmaster! Whenever i mentioned this to my friends, their reaction are so predictable: 'Huh?'
It's a public speaking organisation, not some wine-tasting clubs or something.

PACEsetters! Well the reaction for this is worse: 'HUH!'
I can't blame my friends since its only known in TP. Basically its a cca whereby the members are deployed as ushers and helpers for various significant events in TP.

Before the semester began, i went for TP's 'Freshmen Orientation Camp'. The best part is the TP Mass Dance! It just brings out the zest in everyone, even those who arn't enthusiastic at all. The following week was another bonding period, this time was school base, Applied Science School.

My class, A7D6, which i deemed as "A class of good souls". Why do i say so? Because i'm their classmates.(I'm kiddin') Rather because they're genuinely nice people. And i have to be proud of my class. It houses Mahjong Kings and Sages, Dota Pros and Maple-ly richman. And many academic Top-5ers too! And my Careperson(form-teacher) was a former bodybuilder! Interesting. I've also befriend many from the other five classes.

So my current modules are: Principles of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Mass and Energy Balance and Engineering Mathematics. It's arranged from the strongest to the weakest.

The first semester wasn't smooth at all. The resistance to adaptation was high. Changing the approach to education at a higher level was kind of challenging now at the initial state. And my results proven it so. Thankfully i've started to change, taking the first semester as a lesson. It's was a manifestation of my unawareness and perhaps, lack of seriousness. Chemistry is interesting. It is interestingly hard to grasp too! Underestimation sure did played a part.
